Clemmons, NC July 19, 2023) – The Carolina Region is pleased to announce this year's inductee into the North Carolina Volleyball Hall of Fame's Court of Honor.

This year's Court of Honor team is the 2022 Triangle 16 Black team. Teams that have achieved regional or national recognition for significant results are considered for inclusion in the Court of Honor each year. The 2022 Triangle 16 Black team became the second Carolina Region Junior team to win a USA Volleyball National Qualifier by winning the 16 Open division at the 2022 Big South Qualifier in Atlanta. The 2022 Triangle 16 Black team consisted of the following players and coaches: Team Roster: Emily Bobbitt; Avery Booker; Kiarrah Horne (Big South All-Tournament Team); Ashlyn Philpot; Avery Scoggins; Coley Shiflet; Lillian Slaymaker; Alayna Smith (Big South All-Tournament Team); Sophia Grace Stevens; Asia Thigpen; Michael Frank (Head Coach); Katie Koslowsky (Assistant Coach); Alissa McGuire (Assistant Coach).

The announcement of this honor was not included with the 2023 NC Volleyball Hall of Fame class so that the team, which has largely stayed together for the 2023 season, could finish out the 2023 season without distractions.
