Carolina Region Announces Disaster Assistance Fund

October 11, 2024 (Clemmons, NC)

The Carolina Region Board of Directors announced the creation of a dedicated Disaster Assistance Relief Fund to support Carolina Region families and clubs impacted by recent natural disasters.  As the state is often in the path of destructive storms both on the coast and now in the central and western parts of the state, the Board wanted to create a way for the many individuals, clubs, and fellow USAV Regions to aid our volleyball families as they recover from the disaster.  In difficult times, resources for activities like volleyball is often stretched thin and the Region wanted to provide some help with that so kids can keep playing.

The fund is available for clubs and families impacted by any natural disaster.  Families may request assistance for things such as paying monthly club dues or replacing volleyball equipment.  Clubs may request help with replacing volleyballs or equipment damaged in storms or in getting into new facilities due to damage to existing facilities.

Please see the Disaster Assistance Relief Program Description for more on the program.

Families and Clubs can apply for assistance at this link.

Individuals and clubs interested in supporting this program with a financial contribution may do so at the Carolina Region Donation page.  The Carolina Region is matching up to $15,000 in donations to seed the program. We thank you for your support.
