Tony Hill Elected as Officials Rep

Clemmons, NC (July 25, 2024) - Tony Hill, a volleyball referee from West End, was elected to another three-year term on the Carolina Region Board of Directors during the annual meeting of the Officials Advisory Board on July 24. He will serve a three-year term.

Tony has had two stints as Officials Rep during his years of service as a volleyball referee.  He served as Rep from 2010-2012 before stepping down to concentrate on other projects.  When the positioned opened again in 2015, he volunteered once again and was elected.  His long-standing service speaks loudly about his love for the sport and particularly the referees he represents.  He has been instrumental in leading the Region to be a leader in the USA Volleyball arena in training, officials' compensation, and spectator behavior.  For the past year and a half, he has worked with the current board on a developing a comprehensive Strategic Plan to guide the Region for the next several years.

Although he is happy to serve, he did tell the Officials in attendance at the Advisory Board that this would be his final term. He will be actively mentoring his replacement during the upcoming years.
